Swizz Beatz has been addressed by Timbaland over Justin Timberlake's perceived exploitation of Black culture.
Beatz "went too hard" on Timberlake during their Verzuz rematch on Sunday (May 30), according to the producer, who stated Beatz "went too hard" on Timberlake during their DJ duel.
During the Verzuz stand-off, Timbaland started playing one of Timberlake's many singles, including "Cry Me A River" (2002) and "SexyBack" (2006), and Swizz retaliated. After Timbaland played Jay-Z and Timberlake's 2013 duet "Holy Grail," Swizz stated, chuckling, "I don't want to hear those vocals until you can get Justin Timberlake on Verzuz."
